Milk duds are a classic American caramel candy, enrobed in a chocolate flavoured candy coating.
Milk Duds were first created in 1925 by F Hoffman and Company, Chicago and the name came from an employees reference to the failed attempts to create perfectly spherical, chocolate covered caramel candy pieces according to the manufacturer.
